Zoom has established itself as a system for video conferencing and a good way to hold virtual meetings and dances despite Corona measures. We draw attention to the following aspects of its use ...
- Zoom is a cloud-based service (i.e. Zoom is not operated by Rhine Stone 666)
- Each participant decides for him/herself whether he/she wants to use Zoom.
- no participant should transmit sensitive data via Zoom (as with all digital applications) - neither spoken nor in chat.

Further instructions for use
- Please register well in advance of the event so we can assist with technical issues.
- Participants can attend club nights or other events without their own Zoom account and without registration
- If you follow the link, the meeting password is already included.
- Participation is also possible without Zoom app using the browser (Edge or Chrome).
- Webcam or headset are not mandatory for participation, usually speakers and microphone are sufficient. However, the use of a webcam is recommended so that the caller can help you and give you hints.
- You can also participate with mobile devices (e.g. smartphone or tablet). This requires the installation of the corresponding Zoom app.
- When using it for the first time, you must agree to Zoom's privacy policy and terms of use.
- After logging in, you will be in the virtual waiting room until the meeting has started and the discussion leader unlocks you.
- If you want to be seen, you can turn on the camera in the lower control bar. The microphone can also be switched on there.
- Messages can be sent to all participants or specifically to individual participants via the chat.
- On smartphones or tablets, the following functions may be missing:
- Switch between individual view (mostly the participant currently speaking) and gallery view (25 camera images).
- Hide views without video.
